The Terrace House [long version]
Overlooking the beautiful beaches of False Bay and with a mountain view of the world famous Table mountain is the apartment structure: The Terrace House. This north facing multi-storey structure is designed to step backwards along the original terrain in order to reduce the visual impact that would normally be ruined by a standard apartment block.

The Terrace House is located in the centre of Gordon’s Bay on Beach road and neighbours the fishing haven and Bikini beach. With an uninterrupted view of its naturally beautiful surroundings, The Terrace House is in walking distance from an array of shops and restaurants and is a mere 30 minutes drive from Cape Town international airport and 50 minutes from the city centre of Cape Town.

The Terrace House is designed with eight stepped storeys that boast enough space for 13 spacious apartments. All apartments are designed to high European standards that ensure proper climate control and more energy efficient living. This is achieved through double glazed windows, European standard insulation and a solar heated central heating system. The stepped design not only decreases the visual impact of the building in the area, but also utilises the natural sunlight more efficiently per storey.

All 13 apartments are designed with large wind protected balconies and an open plan living area, which incorporates the kitchen, dining room and living room into one free flowing area. All bedrooms are luxurious in size and feature en suite bathrooms which are spacious and feature high-end finishes. To add to the luxurious feeling, all apartments have high ceilings and higher than the industry standard doors and windows fitted. Sound proofing and floating floors insure noise reduction to minimise interruptions to the other residents of The Terrace House.

A two storey communal area features a solar heated indoor swimming pool, sun bed, a sauna with a steam bath and fitness centre. This is all surrounded by a very spacious social area that allows the residents a place to relax in a stress free environment. Underground parking links every storey and not only ensures that residents do not have to park on the street, but also decreases the visual impact on the area.
